IAINU Tuban Establishes Cooperation with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia for Global Academic Development

Pasuruan, 28 August 2025 – The Nahdlatul Ulama Islamic Institute (IAINU) Tuban continues to expand its presence internationally. Through its Sharia Banking Study Programme, IAINU Tuban has established an official partnership with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), one of the leading research universities in Southeast Asia. The signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) was held at the Ascent Premiere Hotel in Pasuruan, East Java, and was attended by the Head of the Sharia Banking Study Programme at IAINU Tuban and a delegation from UKM. This collaboration is a strategic step to enhance academic capacity, particularly in the field of financial research and Islamic banking. As an influential research university in Asia, UKM is expected to become an important partner in expanding IAINU Tuban's academic network at the global level. The scope of cooperation includes joint research, scientific exchange, and collaborative academic programmes. This synergy also strengthens IAINU Tuban's position as a progressive and competitive university in the international arena.
