IAINU Tuban Strengthens International Partnership with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM)
Pasuruan, 28 August 2025 – The Sharia Banking Study Programme at the Nahdlatul Ulama Islamic Institute (IAINU) Tuban has officially established an international partnership with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia, one of the largest and most influential universities in the neighbouring country. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) took place at the Ascent Premiere Hotel in Pasuruan, East Java, marking an important milestone in expanding academic cooperation. ‘UiTM is known for its global reputation in research and education. Through this collaboration, IAINU Tuban lecturers and students will have the opportunity to develop joint research, conduct academic exchanges, and expand their networks, particularly in the Islamic banking sector,’ said the IAINU representative. On the same occasion, Prof. Dr. Zuraidah Mohd Sanusi, Director of the Accounting Research Institute (ARI) at UiTM, emphasised that this collaboration would strengthen cross-border research, particularly in the field of finance and Islamic banking. Going forward, the collaboration between IAINU Tuban and UiTM will focus on joint research, curriculum development, and academic exchange programmes for lecturers and students.
