IAINU Tuban Expands Academic Network with Islamic Science University of Malaysia

Pasuruan, 28 August 2025 – The Sharia Banking Study Programme at IAINU Tuban has once again expanded its network of international partnerships. This time, an official partnership has been established with the Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM), a university known as a centre of excellence in the development of modern science in line with Islamic values. The signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) took place at the Ascent Premiere Hotel in Pasuruan, East Java, it was a strategic step for IAINU Tuban in improving academic quality at a global level. ‘USIM is an educational institution that emphasises a balance between science and Sharia principles. This is in line with IAINU Tuban's vision to provide Islamic-based higher education that remains responsive to global dynamics,’ said the IAINU representative. This collaboration includes collaborative research, academic exchanges, and strengthening the curriculum based on maqashid syariah. Thus, it is expected to contribute significantly to the development of Islamic finance in the international arena.
