IAINU Tuban Strengthens Global Engagement Through International Forum on Entrepreneurial University Development
Tuban, Indonesia – Nahdlatul Ulama Islamic Institute (IAINU) Tuban has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing its international presence by participating in the International CEO Talks, MoU Signing, and Startup Innovation Forum 2026, hosted by Universitas Islam Malang (UNISMA) in collaboration with the Higher Education Institution of Nahdlatul Ulama (LPTNU PWNU East Java) on July 10, 2026.
Representing the university, Rector Prof. Dr. M. Syamsul Huda, M.Fil.I attended the event alongside Jamal Ghofir, M.A., Vice Rector for Cooperation and Student Affairs. Their participation reflects IAINU Tuban's strategic efforts to expand international partnerships while accelerating its transformation into an entrepreneurial university.
The forum brought together academics, industry leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and international experts to discuss innovative strategies for strengthening entrepreneurship within higher education institutions. Under the theme "Creating University Start-Ups to Strengthen Entrepreneurship of NU Higher Education Institutions for Better Contribution to SDGs Programs," the event emphasized the importance of innovation, research commercialization, technology development, and sustainable collaboration in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Distinguished international speakers included Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hendro Wicaksono from Constructor University Bremen (Germany), Dorotheus Wisman, Founder and CEO of Wise Use International B.V. (The Netherlands), Guido Lassally, CEO of Tauros Media Nederland B.V., and Jeroen Rijnenberg, President Director of the Sustainable Business Development and Innovation Center.
Throughout the discussions, participants explored various approaches to fostering university-based startups, strengthening innovation ecosystems, commercializing research outcomes, and building stronger partnerships between universities and global industries. These discussions highlighted the evolving role of higher education institutions as drivers of economic growth, technological innovation, and community development.
For IAINU Tuban, participation in this international forum represents an important milestone in broadening institutional networks and gaining valuable insights into developing a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem.
