IAINU TUBAN ONCE AGAIN ORGANISES AN INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAMME THROUGH COLLABORATION BETWEEN NU CAMPUSES

IAINU Tuban once again held an International Community Service Program (KKN) attended by five students, namely Fima Nursalnia Salma, Dita Ayu Anggita Sari, and Riswanda Arneta Pratiwi from the Islamic Education Study Program, Ahmad Hinanda from the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program, and Chabibah Alamsyah from the Early Childhood Islamic Education Study Program. The programme runs for approximately one month and is held in Malaysia, specifically at the Indonesian School in Kuala Lumpur and several guidance centres under the auspices of the Indonesian Embassy. This international community service programme is the result of collaboration between NU campuses, including the Nahdhatul Ulama Islamic Institute in Tuban, Darul Ulum Islamic University Sudirman GUPPI, Ma'arif Nahdhatul Ulama University in Kebumen, and the Nahdhatul Ulama Institute of Technology and Science in Pekalongan. This programme is one of the implementations of the Tridharma of higher education institution, particularly in the areas of community service and international cooperation, with the aim of providing students and lecturers with a comprehensive international experience in the context of cross-cultural, academic collaboration and social diplomacy. During their stay in Malaysia, the five students will carry out several main activities, including: thematic teaching, socio-cultural service programmes, cross-university collaboration in community service, and so on. One participant, Ahmad Hinanda expressed his pride in representing his university and Indonesia in this programme. ‘This is a valuable opportunity for us to learn, share, and uphold the good name of our nation. We hope that the results of this activity will benefit the people of Malaysia and our university,’ he said. This International Community Service Programme is an annual routine activity that is expected to continue and involve more students. In addition to strengthening international academic networks, this activity also serves as a form of cultural diplomacy that strengthens relations between Indonesia and Malaysia.
