IAINU TUBAN SENDS TWO STUDENTS ON INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME TO THAILAND

Two students of Institut Agama Islam Nahdlatul Ulama (IAINU) Tuban have been selected to join an internship programme in Thailand. The two students are Intan Setia Puspita from the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (PGMI) study programme and Intan Dzihriyati from the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) study programme. These two students will be in the country of the White Elephant for one semester. Both of them will practice their knowledge and internship as teachers at Darulhikmah School, in M.I.T Kaliza A.Rangae, Narathiwat, Thailand. Based on a letter submitted by Darulhikmah School, signed by the Head of Darulhikmah School, Amina Chuma, S.Pd., M.Ed., M.M, the two IAINU Tuban students were accepted to teach at the school for one semester from 20 May 2024 to 20 September 2024. The departure of the two students to Thailand was accompanied by the Vice Rector for Religious and Institutional Affairs Imam Supriyadi, M.Th.I. However, Imam Supriyadi did not continue to accompany the two students during their internship at Darulhikmah School. However, the two students were accompanied at the beginning of the internship for a few days only. Internships have a number of benefits for students. Among them is to develop skills. Because when doing an internship, students will get tasks. Well, from these various tasks, students will learn many new things. Internships can also help students network in a professional environment. Therefore, students will get experienced mentors, co-workers or even be selected as permanent employees in their internship place if their achievements and abilities are considered qualified. In addition, internships can also boost confidence, as students are better prepared for their next career path. When they are already working, the skills they learnt during their internship can also be applied. Internships can improve your quality, because during internships students will coordinate with other work partners. At that time, communication skills and others will also improve. companies or institutions often prioritise those with work experience, even when looking for fresh graduate applicants. Apart from being an asset to find a job, an internship can also be a preparation process for the real world of work. Internships can also be an opportunity for exploration, and it’s can be a time to think about whether or not what you are currently doing is in line with your interests.
